There are 31 million people in the nation afflicted with kidney disease, many of whom are on dialysis therapy and may be awaiting a kidney transplant.

The Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania (KFCP) is dedicated to serving people whose lives are impacted by kidney disease and advocating for more living organ donations in order to reduce the wait for a life-saving kidney transplant.

KFCP is proud of the role it has played in partnership with Historic Harrisburg Association in presenting Elegant Progressions, a fundraiser with unprecedented popularity. Since Peggy Pierce launched this historic event in 1992, 100% of the Kidney Foundation’s share of the proceeds from Elegant Progressions has remained in our twentyeight county service area serving over 4,550 people impacted by kidney disease.

Proceeds from this event will support the following patient-focused initiatives:

  • Annual Patient and Family Celebration Day
  • Annual Professional Education Symposium on Kidney Disease
  • Camp Kydnie – A camp for kids with kidney disease
  • Kidney Care for Kids outreach program – Be Kind to Your Kidneys children’s book
  • Free community-based screenings for Kidney Disease
  • Living organ donor awareness outreach activities
  • Patient Emergency Assistance Fund
  • Patient and family support services and education programs
  • Medical Jewelry Program for health care identification and safety
  • The nationally recognized Patient and Family Partner Program®

The KFCP supports our friends, neighbors, and co-workers through funds raised by special events, individual gifts, memorials, vehicle donations and estate bequests.

The Board of Directors, volunteers and staff of the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania thank you for your support!
